They do a good job here. The French toast and reuban were good.
The German pancake was novel and good in a diffrent way.
Gyro was standard
A lot has changed, huh? Sad, to say the least. Back in the day, when George used to run the show here, everything was 100%, A+, and on the money, from soup to nuts. They used to be so damn good, that The Sopranos filmed a couple of episodes here. Now, it's just an ordinary, average, way overpriced diner, with "decent" food at best. And the service is absolutely awful. Earlier this evening, we had a waiter who was not the least bit friendly, polite, attentive, or much of anything... He didn't even come around to ask if we want to drink refills, or to check in on us to see how everything was? Then, I very politely asked a female server if she could get me another fork and a couple extra napkins, and her response was, "don't you have a server?" (Yeah, we did, but he was nowhere to be found). And for that, we left him a $3 tip. So be it. Clearly, this is not the same diner that it was 5-10+ years ago... We won't be returning. Not the least bit recommended, especially at these jacked up prices.
Nice atmosphere. I was surprised to see how crowded it gets. It's pricey for the kind of food.
My wife had a omelette. I tried a bite, almost spit it. It has that greasy food taste. Yak!
On the other hand, I had a delicious onion soup, a salad and garlic bread. Loved it. So, I guess is kind of luck depending on what you'll have.
Friendly atmosphere, attentive waitresses.
Food is average. Some Gluten Free menu items. A good baked goods selection for eating in or take out. Menu has choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack. Daily specials. The place could use some updating.
If I have to characterize this place with one word, I would say "Unassuming". It looks simple. It is small, especially by current diner standards. It has nice food; I had only breakfast there. However it has intimate family atmosphere. May be that why it is always bus
Sunday morning, rainy day...and my thoughts go to Ritz Diner in Livingstone.
Easy access location, lovely warm staff and owner, and pleasant atmosphere. The blound waitress went above and beyond to accomodate my order, and the Eggs Bennedict with a bed of ham became Eggs Fiorentine with a bed of healthier sauted spinach. A black coffee got along nicely. What else should I ask for in this relaxed lazy weekend morning?
My experience to Ritz Diner is wonderful ANY TIME I have a chance to get there. Delicious food, lovely staff, resonable prices. That's why I want to give credit where credit is due.
This is a regular diner, I’ve had way better. I was there with my friends the other day and we all paid separately. My bill was $18 and some cents. I put my change in one of the jars by the take out and the lady at the desk snatched the dollar out because it was the wrong jar and asked me if that’s all I’m leaving for the tip. First of all for my bill, that’s more than 20%. I’m not sure what she expected. Maybe because I came with 3 other people she expected more. But at the end of the day if you are going to run a business the people you hire reflects on the owner or person running the establishment. If you’re okay with this person practically being the face of your diner then you need some reevaluating. Side note to anyone else that reads this, if you’re so pressed for MONEY, please get a second job. It’s obvious all the prices are increasing. Paying customers are not liable to pay you any tip, especially if the service was horrible. I think people forget tips come from GREAT SERVICE.
Local favorite. Few things on the menu which always a hit. Try their fried chicken burger called The Ritz. They have veggie burger which is delicious too. We come here with the kids and they are super accommodating.
